Minutes, reports, correspondence, membership rosters, newspaper clippings, and other records (1969-1985) of the American Association of University Women, Chicago Area Council, related primarily to the council's efforts to bring about job sharing legislation. Also includes materials relative to the council's involvement in abortion legislation efforts in Illinois. Present are three cassette recordings and numerous slides from the "Job Sharing: One Job, Two Careers" presentation. Also includes member directories, newsletters, minutes, bylaws, grant and programming materials, correspondence, newspaper clippings, cassette recordings of oral histories, and other records (ca. 1889-1992) of the American Association of University Women, Chicago Branch (previously known as the Chicago Association of Collegiate Alumnae).
